“When Hathach told Mordecai what Esther had said, Mordecai sent her this message: “Don’t think that just because you live in the king’s house you’re the one Jew who will get out of this alive. If you persist in staying silent at a time like this, help and deliverance will arrive for the Jews from someplace else; but you and your family will be wiped out. Who knows? Maybe you were made queen for just such a time as this.”
Esther sent back her answer to Mordecai: “Go and get all the Jews living in Susa together. Fast for me. Don’t eat or drink for three days, either day or night. I and my maids will fast with you. If you will do this, I’ll go to the king, even though it’s forbidden. If I die, I die.”
Mordecai left and carried out Esther’s instructions.” Esther 4:12-17 MSG
Woke and prayed…I put before God all the tasks I to need to accomplish today. Tasks that may assist others in some way, shape or form. The assignments feel overwhelming at first glance but God reassured –
Daphne, you were placed in these situations for “such a time as this.” You can make a difference!
Just as with Esther – God orchestrates scenarios where we have to act, speak, advocate, and/or step out on faith to create change. Mordecai warned Esther to not rest in the fact that she could make it out of the situation. He made sure she knew it was imperative that she take action for those she loved or they would perish.
We have scenarios today where if we don’t act others will perish…
Accept that it is your time. Know this is all in His plan. Trust you are exactly where you need to be. Walk in your destiny.
I pray that I continue have people surround me like Mordecai to give words of wisdom, pray and fast on my behalf. (I know some of you are!) I pray I am a Mordecai for others.
Today walk in your personal – such a time as this. The Alpha and Omega has placed you there like Esther to make a difference.
