MY HELP!

There are times in life when we must cry out to God! There’s no other way to handle plaguing problems but to pray, praise and acknowledge His Omnipresent, Omnipotent, Omniscient ways. Faith and hope exists in your trust in God.

What do you say or pray in this situation?? What do you pray when you have no words?? My answer is….Psalm 121 –

“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, From whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD,

Which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: He that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The LORD is thy keeper: The LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.

The sun shall not smite thee by day, Nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: He shall preserve thy soul.

The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in From this time forth, and even for evermore.”

The author of this “Song of Ascent” could be David but there is also belief that these particular verses were sung during various times to encourage those who were singing. 🎶

Regardless of author, this chapter in the book of Psalms acknowledges God and all His roles in our aid in time of trouble. He is the Creator, our Keeper, our Shade and our Preserver in dark and unknown times. Somewhere in the midst of these words of poetry it also reminds us that God is always aware of what is happening in our lives.

He is our help. Call on your Help! I know I am meditating on Psalms 121 in these times…
